The psychological effects of nature and art inspires and revitalizes human activity and thought. This relationship is amplified in galleries, gardens, and gathering spaces that restore humans into their natural element. The facade adaptive reuse project was to transform the existing Macy’s building into a mixed-use program for the Artists for Humanity nonprofit organization. The retrofitted building and facades are to utilize bio design principals and emphasis the new organization’s morals. The driving concept of the connection between nature and art inspires and invigorates humans while fulfilling psychological needs is prominent in this revitalized design.
