The premise of this project was to design a live/work space that two artists would occupy in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio. The building contains private and public spaces, including a component of community engagement through art created by the artists. The concept for this project is influenced by the abstract work of the two artists, Tomma Abts and Anni Albers. The interior skeleton of the building consists of angular columns that create a weaving and layering-like experience throughout the entire space, mimicking the artwork of Abts and Albers.
